Selling Textbooks

The General Bookstore buys your unwanted textbooks Year-Round.  You must present a student ID or driver's license.

We buy back every day that we are open; however, the best time to sell your books is during Finals Week.  It makes no difference where your book was purchased or if it was New or USED.  There are many factors that affect the purchase price, such as:

• if the book has been ordered for use the following term
• if we are overstocked on that particular title
• if a new edition of the book is being published
• if there is national demand for the book

Books must be in good resalable condition, with covers, pages, and binding intact, and with software when applicable.

Because buy back prices fluctuate so frequently, we are unable to quote prices over the phone or e-mail.  The best thing to do is bring your book in so that we may scan it in to our computer and tell you the buy back value.

At the end of each fall and spring semester we publish a list of Guaranteed Buyback Prices valid only during the week of Finals.
